Snippets & Tidbits
Trust
The implied understanding that
you can let your guard down and
not regret it. The implicit assurance
that you will stand by your promises
and others will do the same. A
mutual bond. Intangibly tangible.
Everyone Is Just Trying
to
Make Their Way
Take a moment to consider that
you’re one of 7.6 Billion (and
counting) inhabitants of this big
rock floating in space we call Earth.
You occupy a very small piece of a
very big world, and everyone beats
to their own drummer. The real
key is to be aware of this and step
back to understand what makes
people tick. Become a student of
motivation and you’ll have a better
appreciation for life around you.
Think It, but Don’t Say It
There will be occasions where you’ll want to counter what someone’s said. Many thoughts will instantly cross your mind, which could result in a knee-jerk reaction. But some things are better left unsaid. Silence is deafening, and not everything requires a response.
Avoid Drama
Many people thrive on it, but it's toxic. Don't get drawn in.
Tell the Truth
Don’t manufacture it, shape it, bend it, or exaggerate it! There is no such thing as half-truths, alternative facts, or a convenient truth—there is only the actual, factual truth. Honor it, live by it,
and stick to it.
Treat Everyone Equally and Fairly
Everyone is different in their own way, and no one is beneath you. Walter Mizner, sage of Hollywood, put it best: “Be kind to everyone on the way up; you’ll meet the same people on the way down.” Give respect; get respect.
